Why do schools not celebrate asian/pacific islander month?

Since this month is Asian/pacific islander month, I was thinking about why schools don't celebrate it. I mean, my school does Hispanic, African American, and we're even doing cinco de mayo! So why are we overlooking the twelve ppl in our school that are Asian? I mean, I'm ok with it, I'm just wondering why
