Are Filipinos(Philippines) in Asia or a pacific islander (country)?

Since the Philippines belongs to the Asian continent, Filipinos are technically Asians. Pacific Islanders are those people who inhabit the three sub-regions of Oceania, namely: Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia.
