Help!!! Should I get a Quaker or a cockatiel?

My parents finally let me get a bird!!! It all came down to the Quaker or the cockatiel. I would like to have a bird that could talk but manly I just want a bird. I have also heard the cockatiels have things called night frights. I could get the cockatiel this weekend and I could get the quaker but I would have to wait for my next allowance. Tell me what you think please!!! Do you think the wait will be worth it?
