Why does Gov. Perry have mannerisms that resemble Pres. George W. Bush's?

He looks very manly and has mannerisms and facial expressions like George W. Bush's. I'm excluding his Texas accent in my observation. I assume the culture of Texas is an influence. "Don't mess with Texas."
