Is plucking arm pit hair good for health?

i find it very enjoyable. and looking at its root gives me pleasure.once my friend said plucking armpit hair increases short sightedness.i wear -3.75 glasses on both eyes i been plucking armpit hair since i was 17.now i am 22. i like plucking my hair but still i want to look manly(hairy). i don't know what should i be doing.
