Politically speaking, do you think job discrimination by race is ancient history in the US?

It’s a logical fallacy to begin with to say that you can find discrimination from unemployment numbers. First of all, in order to do that, you would have to assume that all races have an equal, or mostly equal drive to be in the workforce. That obviously is not true. Secondly, you would also have to assume that each individual has similar values, morals and aspirations, since these things commonly go into the hiring process. That too is not true. Also, Latino people tend to segregate themselves to only specific types of jobs primarily with labor and trades. Large portions of white people can be found in virtually any industry, and black people tend to aspire mostly towards government jobs. All of these things factor into the unemployment numbers and have nothing to do with discrimination.
